Although Cushman was a school, it was also community: a place where you were taught to be kind to others and to succeed as a team. I am confident that Cushman is responsible for developing my confidence, altruism, and self-reliance, which have served me well into my adult life.

The education I received and the opportunities I was given, afforded me a solid foundation of citizenship, academic rigor, and athletic introduction.  One of my fondest memories at Cushman was the 7th grade trip to Costa Rica. I not only learned to manage being away from home in a foreign country that week, but I also gained a perspective of a different culture.

One of the most memorable moments was at my sixth grade graduation, when I delivered a speech in front of my peers, teachers, and parents on the hallmarks of the Cushman philosophy--courtesy, responsibility, industry, and scholarship. I know that I can credit my family and the teachers at Cushman who helped me develop, at an early age, the self-confidence and skills that I now use as an attorney.
